How Do I Patch Test Products?

We always recommend performing a patch test before using any new skincare product. Apply a small amount to a discreet area (like your inner arm or behind the ear) and wait 24–48 hours. If any irritation, redness, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately. Even natural or gentle ingredients can cause a reaction in sensitive individuals.

When should I book for my first facial?

Please schedule the New Guest “Trust Your Professional” Facial.

This service includes extra time for a thorough consultation before your treatment. During this time, we’ll perform a detailed skin analysis, review your skin history, and discuss your skincare goals. This allows us to create a customized treatment plan tailored specifically to your skin’s needs for the best possible results.

You don’t have any openings soon—how can I get in?

If there are no current openings, please add yourself to the waitlist on the booking site. Select a few different days and times that work for you. The system will automatically notify you if an appointment becomes available.

We also post last-minute availability on our Instagram Stories, so be sure to follow us there!

In the meantime, we highly recommend pre-booking future appointments, as Viviana’s schedule is usually booked out a month in advance.

Can my acne get worse before it gets better?

Yes, it can.

Acne forms deep within the follicle and can take up to 90 days to surface.

During Acne Bootcamp, treatments and home care are designed to increase cell turnover. Because of this, it’s common to experience a purging phase between weeks 3–7.

This phase brings underlying congestion to the surface so it can be cleared—an important step in achieving long-term clarity.

Can I get a facial or skin treatment while I’m pregnant?

Definitely! We have a pregnancy-safe protocol specifically designed for pregnant and nursing mothers.

Is there an age requirement to get a facial at VLO?

All ages are welcome!

However, clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the treatment intake form prior to their appointment.

What happens during the online consultation?

During your consultation, we’ll discuss your skin history, current routine, lifestyle, and concerns.

Together, we’ll develop a custom treatment and home care plan to help you reach your goals. This session helps us understand your skin fully and set the foundation for real, sustainable results.

How do I prepare for my online consultation?

✔ Come with a clean face – freshly washed, no makeup. This allows us to assess your skin in its natural state.

✔ Know your products – Make a list of all products you currently use (name + brand). You can also take photos and send them over.

✔ Be open-minded – Our recommendations are guided by your skin’s needs. Even if you have a treatment in mind, we may suggest something different to help you achieve optimal results.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.

  • Cancellations made after the 48-hour window will incur a 50% fee of the scheduled service.
  • No-shows will be charged 100% of the service fee.
